Gangnam 88 - Korean BBQ Restaurant @ Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

First time I went to Gangnam 88, Korean BBQ restaurant in Solaris Mont Kiara

What a smile day! After I work, I went back but this time was too jam. I wonder how came? Nothing
happen this time. Everywhere was jam also. However, it took 1 to 2 hours to reach at my aunt's house. My brother and cousin and her boyfriend were waiting for me to have dinner at outside. As we discussed earlier, we wanted to dine in a special restaurant. Finally we reached at the place that we wanted around 8pm onwards. We started to feel hungry already.

We took a lift to 1st floor!

Curious what was a special restaurant? It was a Korean Restaurant named Gangnam 88 which was located at Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. I had never been there for few years but I recall that I went there for dining at Solaris Mont Kiara few years ago. Otherwise, you just read my review about Lewis Gene if you interested to know too. This place got many Korea Restaurant and Coffee Cafe around Solaris Mont Kiara. Wow! I suprised when saw many Korea restaurant which was still running smoothly. Those people who love Korean Cuisine, You should come to Solaris Mont Kiara.

Cool! The deco is good!

Gangnam 88 was located at the upstair of the shop. When we walked to upstair, the poster was on the lift and everything of Gangnam in the lift. Once we step out from the lift, Wow! Many photo was filled on the wall between the lift. Even the poster was attractive and gave us a deep impression when we step into Gangnam 88.

Alot of things around us with yellow light. The decoration was very great and unexpected to see some poster about famous Korean singer or dancer. Felt like we were with Korean actor/actress in the music room. They were handsome and pretty on the poster. Many youngster fall in love with those famous people. No doubt, there was many handsome actor and pretty actress in Korea. I like the clean environment and most of the customers were young and adult people who love to eat Korea Cuisine at Gangnam 88.

What a funny thing! When my cousin and brother told me about Gangnam. I thought that it was a Gangnam style was perfomanced by PSY. However it was Korean restaurant that we would eat at Gangnam 88 actually. Sounds funny! Well, this Korea restaurant served the Gangnam home-style cuisine and cooking to the customers who love homemade of traditional Gangnam style restaurant. It marked that a true tastes and flavors of Korea's ingredients with the patience and determination. Even it would serve us as we enjoy to eat a lovely meal with fresh, clean and most delicious.

Jeyuk Bokkeum with Kimchi Soup

We ordered different meals of Korea cuisine. The first meal which was Jeyuk Bokkeum. It was a spicy pork chop with few different Korean traditional dishes which was side dishes. The side dishes was rice, vegetables, tofu, meats, potato, soft eggs, bean sprouts and kimchi. Kimchi must be served for every meals as we know. Those people who enjoy spicy was highly recommended. It just priced RM33 per person or RM49 large size per plate.

Wow, it is big chicken...

Besides that, we wanted to eat Beer Chicken was a famous meals of the menu. So we ordered this
chicken. A whole chicken just priced RM50. Wow! Wonder if four of us able to finish to eat big
chicken? So expensive a bit. It would be delicious to bite with bean sprouts and yellow sauce after the boss of this restaurant suggested us to eat with that sauce. Should give a try to eat this chicken! Worth to eat this.

Wow, delicious soup!

In addition, other meal which was Budae Jeongol. This pork stew was a Korean soup with Ramen or Udon noodles with different portion of foods such as sausages soft, vegetables, mushrooms, seasonings, oily outer, spins with cheese inside the hot pot. It was not very spicy but has a cheese taste of soup and mixed with spicy soup. It just priced RM50(small size) or RM75(large size)

I really love it!

Of course, we wanted a soup which was Kimchi Jjigae. It was Kimchi with other portion such as
scallions, onions, diced tofu, pork and seafood especially it served kimchi stew and maintained the
traditional taste, fresh and premium ingredients were used. The price was RM20 only. The taste was a bit sour but worth to eat and drank the soup. We love to eat kimchi soup. This meal was highly recommended if you love Kimchi soup. Very delicious. Would miss it so much.

Most of the waiters were very friendly and served us their best to satisfy our needs. Whatever we
wanted, they would gave the best service. I like their service. Wow! Once all of our meals served, we shocked to see many meals had waiting for us on the table. We wondered whether we could finish all
meals or not! Sounds funny! Especially I saw our funny expression when we saw so many meals on the table. Hard to believe that all meals was waiting for us to eat.

The boss of Gangnam 88 love to take the photo of us and wanted to put the photo in Facebook. I guessed that he would like to take photo on every customer who came to this restaurant. Hungry so much already that time. We enjoyed to eat Korean cuisine. Quite like the clean and nice environment and washroom was clean as well. Inside the washroom, it was funny with something. It was everything of Gangnam 88. You better to see it if you curious about Gangnam 88 restaurant. It open from morning till midight.

Anyways, I would like to say thanks so much to my cousin sister for the invitation. It was the wonderful dinner at Gangnam 88. Would like to visit this restaurant when had a chance next time.
