Anime Fest @ Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Centre

Yay...My good friends and I are really excited to check out the Anime Fest, which took place on April 26 and 28, 2024, at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Centre. It has been five years since we last attended an anime event. My good friend Kimberly even brought her son and his friend. They are far more excited than we are. Before heading to Anime Fest, first we went to brunch together. We just realized to discover that the event was divided into several areas spanning three floors, including an exhibition hall, a stage, a cosplay market located on Level 3A, an event ticket counter on Level 2, and an art market located on Level CC. As a result, even though it's packed, everything is running more smoothly and the event is better organised. Additionally, it features easier access to the mall and more strategically placed transportation options, like MRT. 

Wow! There are lots of booths featuring art, games, comics, animation, the performance stage and much more. It is also one of the best places to find a variety of comic book illustrators, cosplayers, and culture enthusiasts. As we can see a large number of people are immersing themselves in the characters from games, comics, and animation, and as cosplayers, they display their cosplay as shown in the character. Particularly among the younger generation who enjoy anime themes, it truly attracts public attention. Therefore, when we see their cosplay everywhere, we just enjoy and have fun. Despite the fact that we spend a day fully immersed in Anime World.

We were surprised to find that there were several booths offering a variety of Gatcha. However it is so fun when see there are kinds of capsules toys. My good friend desired to purchase, spin the gatcha machine these capsule toys for her daughter. She informed us that her daughter had been excited to receive her favourite toys, Kuromi from Sanrio, the newest character who is quite well-liked by children and young people. 

Next, we come across the booth promoting CC Lemon, the top-selling lemon brand in Japan that tastes quite refreshing and is high in vitamin C. We purchase two cans for RM 5 and try it out. To redeem the mystery gift, we uploaded our pictures to Instagram and tagged them there. What a surprise! When we received our adorable anime keychain, we were thrilled. So Cute!

Furthermore, the MKB booth caught our attention with its assortment of keyboards, each featuring a a customised and unique key. Really cool! My good friends get excited when they see the Ultraman toys family series and recall about their childhood TV shows. It felt good to see it again after a long time. Apart from that, the Predator Gaming Laptop and Play Station are essential products to explore, particularly for the younger generation who love them. This is a very special event because it allows us to explore the area and buy the products we want. Additionally, a lot of people are prepared to wait in a long queue to meet and greet their favourite cosplayer and special guest.

We were on our way to the Art Market now, where many talented artists sell a range of their one-of-a-kind and specialty works, including keychains, posters, stickers, badges, t shirt, deskmat and much more. What a surprise! We discover that they had created the number of characters in their artwork this time. They demonstrated their drawing in person also. Even so, we were pleased to get the business card because it is really adorable and unique. We were quite interested in what was going on around us.
