Satay Putera Kajang 沙爹王子 @ Kajang, Selangor

Throwback to when a good friend told me and other friends about a new Satay restaurant called "Satay Putera Kajang 沙爹王子", which opened in 2018 if my memory serves me correctly. We chose to learn more about this restaurant by taking the MRT. MRT Stadium Kajang Station(Pintu B) is just around the corner from the restaurant. If you use the MRT, it is very convenient for you and easy to locate. You won't get lost, so don't worry. You are welcome to bring your family and friends.

After walking from the exit of MRT station, we arrived at the Satay Putera Kajang 沙爹王子 restaurant. We realised when we are entering Satay Putera Kajang from the back. Really, we have two options for entering the restaurant: the front or the back. As a result, this is my first outing to Satay Putera Kajang 沙爹王子. It's so exciting!

According to the story about Satay Putera Kajang 沙爹王子 website, "At Satay Putera Kajang, we pay tribute to an extraordinary delicacy that has its roots connected across several continents from the Middle East to South East Asia. Today Satay or "Sate" as in it called in Indonesia have emerged in various marinated styles to suit multicultural palates. In Malaysia, satay embraces the meaning of unity and culinary passion that is loved by the young and old". So that's why the symbol of the restaurant represent three men who is young to old. It shows that three men united each with other. So Malaysia is multicultural country. 

I was shocked to learn that this restaurant has three dining areas: indoor (without air conditioning), indoor (with air conditioning), and outdoor portions. In any case, we choose the indoor option without air conditioning. The interior has a kopitam and village design tradition, making the setting is very special. That is why we love sitting here. If you want to eat in the air-conditioned place, you can go there. The dining area you choose is determined by your level of comfort.

The satay is sold by mobile hawkers who market their wares from door to door. My attention is drawn to this mural painting. We don't see them so much as we used to, but our memories of satay hawkers in Kuala Lumpur are still vivid, though they are becoming extremely rare. When older folks remember their cherished memories from the past, it brings back happy memories. Even children will hear about the fascinating tradition of Satay Mural Art.

They have a variety of Satay on the menu, including Chicken, Beef, Mutton, Fish, Prawn, Sotong, Perut, and Vegetarian. Aside from that, you should order a Side Dish. Nasi Lemak, Penang Kuey Teow, and other dishes have recently been introduced to the menu. Last time, my good friends and I ordered Chicken, Beef, Prawn Satay, and Otak Otak. Chicken Satay with a slice of juicy cucumber and peanut sauce. When dipped in peanut sauce, the flavour is very strong. As a result, many people like this sauce. It's a must-taste sauce! 

The best recommendation is to try Otak Otak. Especially for tourists who enjoy doing new things. It is really delicious. To quench our thirsty, we prefer Alfalfa Chlorophyll(Black Herbal Tea).
