Pulau Ketam, my beloved Hometown

Exciting to visit my village after the last day that I have been visited there which is on Chinese New Year celeration. Finally, I plan to visit my village because my friends want to visit there. Then I bring them to visit there yesterday. Guess where? Well, it is at Pulau Ketam. Do you know about it? If not, let me tell about it. It is known as Crab Island and small island. It is located off the coast of Klang. The island is available and easily accessible from the Port Klang jetty by ferry or speed motorboat. The unique village which is known "floating houses". Perching casually on long wooden stilts, these dwellings are suspended about one to ten (1-10) metre above sea level.

Pulau Ketam's population can be estimated around 7 thousands. The majority is Chinese while the Malays form mainland mostly work as policemen, nurses and secondary schools teachers. The total of Malays around 50 persons. Most of them speak in Teochew and Hokkien language.  

Pulau Ketam is the best chance for visitors to witness and experience the unique lifestyle of fishermen. Homestay or hostel facilities are readily available. Futhermore, Pulau Ketam also having a very special viewpoint with town city where this island escape from air polutions, traffic jams, finding car parking problem and many more. Just walking or riding bicycle to visit around the village view. It is a peace and quiet place. Few photo has been taken as below:
