Young Entrepreneurs Conference 2014


Wow!! I excited to wake up so early. Sounds funny? Today was a bright Saturday. My friends and I attended the Young Entrepreneurs Conference 2014 after we got free ticket via online registration. Glad to hear that few Deafs would like to know more about this event. Graceful to the interpreter who interpreting for us. There was a lot young entrepreneurs in the event. This workshop had a several great of speakers of young and successful entrepreneurs who would share their knowledge and experience. It was an amazing event ever I attend.










There was a few speakers such as Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin (Non-Executive Director of Eco World Development), Timothy Tiah (Founder of Nuffnang.com),Cheryl Yeoh (CEO of Malaysian Global Innovation &Creativity Centre, Founder of CityPockets.com & Reclip.It), Adelene Foo (General Manager of MyTeksi.com)Christy Ng (Founder of ChristyNg.com), Bryan Ong (Co-Founder of TextBookAsia.com), Paul Allen (Co-Founder of Ancestry.com & Gallup Strength Evangelist). They just shared their knowledge and experience and how they faced the challenge in their business world. They applied different method to overcome the challenge and trouble before they can be successful in their business. Anyways, their experience and knowledge was really inspiring youngsters like us. We should learn from them how to face the reality in the business world. Set up the business is not easy and it needs a lot of time and patience.


Other than that, Alliance Bank gave an opportunity to anyone was running the businesses for 3 years and below who would like to join the SME Innovation Challenge and need to submit their business details and plans online and log here. During the workshop, those people who was attending that could snap and share their photos via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at the Young Entrepreneurs Conference 2014 to win a GoPro. That's all only for the event. However, I was looking forward that more Deafs would awake about the business world and it encouraged them to join the business competition so that Deafs prove that they can do it as same as hearing do. As the result, it was a great event that inspiring us.
