What a Sunny Sunday, my good friend, Selina and I curious and excited to explore about Kenny Roasters Chicken Run at the early morning! As we never attend that event before. Thank you, my good friend, Selina who invited me to join her to attend this meaningful event! It was such a meaningful and cheerful event ever I see!
There was a lot of the participants who bring their beloved family to join the fun run together in order to make a awesome and enjoyable family themed marathon. In addition, it was a quite good strategy to expose the kids to practice the quality lifestyle through running sports. Even it helped the relationship between family more closer, stronger and bonder through this running event due to they have to walk and run each with other especially one of them almost give up on running however their family kept to encourage them to run slowly to the FINISH line! Touching! and Awesome!
This event was really got a warmest welcome from the public especially the most interesting and latest news that there was more than 2,138 runners converged on Desa Waterpark for the 12th ROASTERS Chicken Run (RCR), organized by Kenny Rogers ROASTERS (KRR). In early morning, most runners had been gathering at the main location around 6.30am. A plenty of pink and red t shirt themed could been obviously to notice around there. Wow! Meanwhile all runners excited to explore and busy to shoot the photo with a cute Chicken Pose on the photo background.
Definitely, we enjoyed ourselves too. There was a stage where welcomed Dato’ Francis Lee, Group
Executive Director of Berjaya ROASTERS (M) Sdn Bhd who gave the short speech about this amazing event. As he mentioned that it was a successful and significant charity where had been successfully to collect the donating funds estimated RM 55,000 from this event and all the funds would be donated to the less fortunate and Malaysians in NEED!
Besides that, the response was quite overwhelming and great from the public! It indicated that many people were really concerned and generous about the society and love to give a support and contributed to donating funds in aid of the less fortunate otherwise the objective of this event promoted and encouraged the public kept to balance the healthy lifestyle. So it was one of the most satisfaction and achieving event for the community where Kenny Roasters Chicken Run organized for 12th ROASTERS Chicken Run (RCR) this year 2016. Other than that, Kenny Roasters Run would be provided the nutritious wholesome meals to the larger number of the need one and would donate funds to various organizations through Food Aid Foundation.
Furthermore, the funds from the ROASTERS Chicken Run 2016 would be passed to Food Aid Foundation through 2,000 sets of Kenny’s Chicken Meals to approximately 20 charitable homes for both the youngster and oldfolks. Meanwhile, the remaining funds would be utilized to purchase ingredients and groceries to other homes which are also supported by Food Aid Foundation. You wondering what was Food Aid Foundation? Food Aid Foundation was a non-profit organization that operated as a food bank which provides basic food to charitable homes, rehabilitation centres, feeding centres, poor families and destitutes.
“I’m glad to be here today to show my gratitude and support to this meaningful event. We appreciate the generosity from KRR and fellow Malaysians, who are selflessly here with us today in support of the foundation. With the contributions garnered from the event, we will certainly be able to extend our arms to a greater number of homes and provide them with more nutritious food supplies,” expressed Rick Chee, founder of Food Aid Foundation, at the charity run yesterday.
ROASTERS Chicken Run (RCR) had raised over RM 660,000 for a myriad of charitable organisations and homes such as Little Yellow Flower Foundation, Tabung Kebajikan Pesakit HUKM, Pediatric Unit HUKM (Oncology), Unit TUTUR – Aural Rehabilitation Centre for Hearing Impaired Children together with Yayasan Budi Peyayang Malaysia and House of Joy and Faith, Yayasan Sunbeams Home, Rumah Juara, Rumah Kanak-kanak Tengku Budriah, Rumah Sayangan, Malaysian National Kidney Foundation – Dialysis Treatment for the Young, Rumah Hope, Rumah Kebajikan Anbu Illam, Rumah Charis Ti-Ratana Welfare Society, and Tabung Kebajikan Pesakit PPUKM – Young Diabetic Patients.
After the speech by Dato Francis Lee, all runners included families enjoyed to exercise together and follow the step by step where were greeted by a warm-up session by Celebrity Fitness so the environment more lively, enjoyable and fun and exiciting before proceeding to run according to their respective categories. At the same time, we enjoyed to explore and figured out that many various booths which held be at the venue such as 100 Plus, Food Aid Foundation, Dutch Lady, and The Cocoa Trees.
Once the runners from different categories gathering at the START LINE to flag off and mostly, they were very excited and had a high motivation to run! Wow! Not only that, all kids also excited to run too. Anyways, my good friend and I did not join to run because we just explored the event and we did not get t shirt, BIB number and Finisher Medal However we enjoyed to peek around this event. Meanwhile we just drink 100 plus at the booth and witness the runners just completed the charity marathon in 15 minutes after the flag off time.
Wow! They were faster runners!! Impressed with their high motivation! Congratulation for the winners who won the 1st to 3rd place for different categories! All the prizes were waiting for the winners who bring it went home! So fun!
