NPE Highway Challenge @ IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge 2019 Malaysia

What a wonderful Sunday! First time, my good friend and I were delighted and excited to conquer the NPE Highway challenge with more than 9000 runners who participated in IJM Allianz Duo Highway which happened at New Pantai Expressway(NPE) Highway on 14 July 2019. We had a wonderful experience to explore about IJM Allianz Duo Highway as we conquered the highway and toll. In addition, it was truly thrilling accomplishment as it was successfully to get the attention from International runners conquered together. Thus, there was a lot of international runners who came from Singapore, Kenya, Nigera, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Brunei, Thailand and Sweden who took part for this run. IJM Allianz Duo Highway has two categories such as 10KM and 21KM. We took 10 KM challenge to be completed.

Absolutely, all runners included us had to prepared to get thee so earlier to getting rid of the closed routes and limited parking spot around Sunway Pyramid. Well, we have to wake up around 4.00am and prepare everything before get there. Once we reached there, we took a glimpse to explore around a awhile before the flag time off. For 21KM categories, the flag time off began at 5.30AM and 10KM categories, the flag time off was at 6.30AM respectively.





Along the road, we managed to conquer the highway and toll. Even there was no car along the highway. Felt great to conquer it with the excitement and joy. There was a lot of runners who did not give up to run despite the challenge was quite tough especially those runners who took part for 21KM Challenge. Clap! Clap! Lastly, we are very happy to complete our mission 10km! Yahooo!! My legs already pain at least, we are very enjoyed along the NPE Highway Challenge.


Besides that, there was a various of the booth such as food trucks, MILO trucks, Nestle Fitnesse booth, Nivea booth, Allianz booth, TouchnGo booth and many more. We enjoyed to explore around these booth as what I said earlier. We were happy to drink MILO, our favorite beverages. One interesting booth was TouchnGO e wallet. We registered it and got the card which linked to TouchnGo e wallet apps. Anyways, we were truly pleased to experience this run. Capturing photo was a must thing to do as we love to shoot the photo and selfie together definitely.

Miss IJM Allianz Duo Highway? No worries! The IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge was held in partnership with IJM Corporation Berhad(IJM) and Allianz Malaysia Berhad as the title sponsors. There will be an upcoming second leg held on 24 August 2019 which will be first ever night run and relay run organised by the popular running series. Besraya Highway Challenge is expected to attract 7000 participants across three events which is challenging 26KM, 13KM and a 13KM relay run challenge.

Apart from the IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge, IJM Corporation Berhad also organised other  events such as IJM Land Seremban 2 Half Marathon, Rimbayu Run and LEKAS Ride.
