9 Best Things To Do In Port Dickson 2024

This time, my family and I planned a short vacation, and the journey from my house would only take 1 to 2 hours. In addition, we spend two nights and one day in Port Dickson. It's the best time for me to visit or discover new places. So it's a fantastic experience to learn about the Port Dickson area. Let's take a look at where I went and what I experienced. Are you ready to embark on an adventure?

1. Oranmental Fish Centre

The Malaysian Department of Fisheries operates the Ornamental Fish Centre, which is located in a strategic area at Teluk Kemang Beach, just 1.2 km or about a 5-minute drive from Port Dickson Beach. It provides a variety of family entertainment and marine education, with over 50 species of ornamental fish, 40 types of corals, and other fascinating marine life, making it a worthwhile experience and educational opportunity for tourists, families, marine life enthusiasts, and students, including children. Sea horses, puffer fish, stonefish, clown fish, baby green turtles, hawksbill turtles, and coral reefs are among the marine conservation and aquarium's highlights. Aside from providing visitors with the unique opportunity to interact with rare aquatic creatures, the center is intended to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to appreciate and take responsibility for the marine environment. The spot is ideal for families who want to bring their children or the elderly to learn about animals and gain experience and knowledge. It's my first time exploring this place, and I was surprised to see a variety of fish and marine life. Even my niece enjoyed looking around. It is a valuable experience. The good news is that the fee is free entry.

2. Muzium Tentera Darat Port Dickson (Army Museum Port Dickson)

The Army Museum Port Dickson, also known as Muzium Tentera Darat, is only about a 10-minute drive from the Ornamental Fish Centre and is located in the Sirusa district. It is one of Malaysia's military museums and a popular attraction for both locals and tourists. Anyway, it's a lucky day for us because there aren't many visitors here on weekdays. We walked from the parking lot to the registration center and saw a variety of outdoor exhibits, including military aircraft, tanks, helicopters, armored vehicles, artillery pieces, and more. It indicates the country's military achievements, memorabilia, uniforms, and weapons over several decades. There is an especially interesting place called the communist tunnel, which surprises us when we walk down this path. This museum is a must-see for people of all ages, including children. This is one of my favorite times to explore; entry is free.

3. Tasik Villa International Resort

After that, we must check into the villa first. It's Tasik Villa International Resort. To get there, drive for about 20 minutes from the Army Museum in Port Dickson. This villa offers a variety of rooms, which you can view on their official website. We opted for the Family Villa. Although it is not a luxurious environment, it is comfortable and spacious, as the entire family lives under one roof. It is also fully equipped with a living room, private pool, and private parking. It includes one king bed and two single beds in the bedroom. It included a complimentary breakfast and a buffet with a variety of foods. Quite satisfactory.

4. Ah Cui Bak Kut Teh 阿水肉骨茶

We take a shower and prepare ourselves before heading to the restaurant for dinner. his time, we eating Bak Kut Teh at Ah Cui Bak Kut Teh 阿水肉骨茶, which is nearby the villa and only takes 5 minutes to arrive. Without a doubt, this is our first visit to this restaurant, and I was surprised to see a menu with a variety of foods to choose from, such as Claypot Bak Kut Teh, Bowl Bak Kut Teh, Rice Wine Chicken/Prawn, a variety of Vegetables, Curry Pot, even different types of Steam, and many more. That was quite good! We ordered Claypot Bak Kut Teh Soup, Claypot Bak Kut Teh Dry, Traditional Rice Wine Chicken, Lettuce, Lady Fingers, and Youtiao.  All of the foods are quite good but the traditional rice wine chicken is not as good as I expected, particularly Claypot Bak Kut Teh Soup, and Dry has the best flavour. My assumption is that this restaurant serves the best and most popular Bak Kut Teh in Port Dickson.

5. Saujana Beach Port Dickson

After dinner, we went to Saujana Beach, which has a beautiful sunset, and we were able to witness it in person. Furthermore, it provides me with a sense of calm and peace as I relax. What a lovely and wonderful time. This place is a must-visit if you love to see the beach or want to relax in the calm atmosphere. Then we took some time to visit my relatives in Port Dickson, where we were able to catch up for a while. That's all we have so far.

6. Lucky King Bun Lukut

After breakfast and checking out of Tasik Villa, we went sightseeing and were dropped off by Lucky King Bun in Lukut. It is a popular bun with a curry chicken inside a large bread. Actually, it is one of my favourite foods. Supposedly, we thought of buying it, but we found out that the price is quite expensive. Finally, we did not purchase it and just captured with the cute Lucky Chicken together. Anyway, if you want to know more about it, you can check out their Facebook and Instagram as shown below.

8. HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm

Heading to the final destination, which is to visit HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm before going back to KL. What's interesting is that they have a Dragon Fruit restaurant where we can dine. Dragon Fruit, the signature ingredient, appears in the majority of the food and beverages. So we just take away the Dragon Fruit beverages. This time, we skipped exploring the farm because the weather was too hot, and the fee is RM 10 per adult and child 12 years old and up, with free entry for children under the age of 12. Something that really caught my attention was the Jumbo Dragon Bun, which is a dragon fruit bun wrapped with curry chicken. Anyway, I just take pictures around. This is a good place for people who want to learn about Dragon Fruit and how it grows and harvested. There is a Giant Dragon Fruit that can be captured.

9. Wan Chun Ting, Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara

This is a 5-star luxury hotel and resort, but we dined at Wan Chun Ting, a luxury, elegant, and classic Chinese restaurant at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara. To be honest, I was impressed when I walked into this restaurant; the atmosphere is lovely, standard, classic, and impressive, and it made me fall in love with it.  To be honest, I was impressed when I stepped into this restaurant; the environment is quite beautiful, standard, classic, and impressive, and it made me fall in love with it. Anyway, I didn't capture the environment, but I did manage to take pictures of the food. We mostly ordered from the ala carte and dim sum menus. Undoubtedly, the price is quite high and costly. Anyway, I am blessed to experience luxurious dishes in a high-class environment. If you are curious, you can check out their official website or social media platforms, which are listed below.

Overall, my family and I had a fantastic adventure and trip to Port Dickson. Even though we only spent two nights and one day, it was a great experience to explore each place, which was quite interesting and cool. Don't forget to check out my upcoming adventure to where I recently traveled. Stay tuned!
