This time, my family and I planned a short vacation, and the journey from my house would only take 1 to 2 hours. In addition, we spend two nights and one day in Port Dickson. It's the best time for me to visit or discover new places. So it's a fantastic experience to learn about the Port Dickson area. Let's take a look at where I went and what I experienced. Are you ready to embark on an adventure?
1. Oranmental Fish Centre
The Malaysian Department of Fisheries operates the Ornamental Fish Centre, which is located in a strategic area at Teluk Kemang Beach, just 1.2 km or about a 5-minute drive from Port Dickson Beach. It provides a variety of family entertainment and marine education, with over 50 species of ornamental fish, 40 types of corals, and other fascinating marine life, making it a worthwhile experience and educational opportunity for tourists, families, marine life enthusiasts, and students, including children. Sea horses, puffer fish, stonefish, clown fish, baby green turtles, hawksbill turtles, and coral reefs are among the marine conservation and aquarium's highlights. Aside from providing visitors with the unique opportunity to interact with rare aquatic creatures, the center is intended to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to appreciate and take responsibility for the marine environment. The spot is ideal for families who want to bring their children or the elderly to learn about animals and gain experience and knowledge. It's my first time exploring this place, and I was surprised to see a variety of fish and marine life. Even my niece enjoyed looking around. It is a valuable experience. The good news is that the fee is free entry.
2. Muzium Tentera Darat Port Dickson (Army Museum Port Dickson)
The Army Museum Port Dickson, also known as Muzium Tentera Darat, is only about a 10-minute drive from the Ornamental Fish Centre and is located in the Sirusa district. It is one of Malaysia's military museums and a popular attraction for both locals and tourists. Anyway, it's a lucky day for us because there aren't many visitors here on weekdays. We walked from the parking lot to the registration center and saw a variety of outdoor exhibits, including military aircraft, tanks, helicopters, armored vehicles, artillery pieces, and more. It indicates the country's military achievements, memorabilia, uniforms, and weapons over several decades. There is an especially interesting place called the communist tunnel, which surprises us when we walk down this path. This museum is a must-see for people of all ages, including children. This is one of my favorite times to explore; entry is free.
